In terms of heritage, Ribalonga has one of the most imposing places of Portuguese cave painting, known as Cachão da Rapa. These paintings have been referenced since the eighteenth century and are located in a cliff over the Alegria railway tunnel.
In this same village, you can visit the Fraga das Ferraduras. It is a set of engravings located in a small granite batholith that is implanted at the top of a cliff that falls on the slope of the Douro River. It should be noted that you can find, of historical interest, the manor house of the Sampaio e Melo Family and the Solar of Viscondes. The aforementioned Mother Church, dating from the eighteenth century, also deserves special attention.

Very close to the villas, there is the Village of Foz-Tua, closely linked to the history of Port wine, having been an important river pier, operating as a connection point between the city of Porto and the Douro region. At this stage, with the section of the Douro railway line, which connects Pinhão to Tua, this area is once again very present on the map of those who visit and walk in the Douro, functioning as one of the most important railway stations. In this locality, you can visit the Tua Valley Interpretive Centre, the Tua Valley Gateways and the "Foz-Tua Wine House" Cantoneiros' House.
Breathtaking trails and viewpoints are no exception in this area. You can walk several trails, which you have in the Vale do Tua Regional Natural Park and also walk on the old Tua railway line, which gives access to a viewpoint for the Dam and the Hydroelectric Power Plant designed by Arq. Eduardo Souto Mouro, among others.
